Message from the Principal

At La France Elementary School parent and family involvement is a big part of our community.

Decades of research have shown that when parents are involved in their children’s education, kids are more likely to:

• Earn better grades
• Score higher on tests
• Pass their classes
• Attend school regularly
• Have better social skills
• Show improved behavior
• Be more positive in their attitude toward school
• Complete homework assignments
• Graduate and continue their education

Please continue to be a part of your student's academic success!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Hope M. Bass

Principal

For Upcoming 7th graders!!!!

TDap Immunization Required for all rising 7th Grade Students
In accordance with South Carolina Code of Laws, Section 44-29-180, and South Carolina Regulation 61-8, ALL students must have received the TDap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) immunization BEFORE the start of 7th grade.

When your 6th grader sees a healthcare provider this year, please be aware that all students must have the TDap vaccine before they begin school as 7th graders in August 2017. Incoming 7th graders will not receive a schedule or be able to attend class without an up-to-date immunization record. A copy of your child’s most current SC Certificate of Immunization must be on file with your child’s school nurse.

For more information, please contact your school nurse or the district’s nursing coordinator, Heidi McCaulley, RN @ 403-2208.

If your child has already received the TDap vaccine, please bring updated immunization record to your school nurse. We must have a copy of immunization record with this vaccine on it for the student to begin 7th grade.
Dear La France Parents
Safety throughout our campuses continues to be a critical priority. As part of this process we continue to explore new opportunities to ensure that we are doing everything reasonable to make our campuses as safe as possible for our students. We also recognize that it is important to help children and their families feel safe. Starting immediately, visitors to our schools and the Central Office will be asked to identify their name and nature of their visit prior to receiving access into our Anderson 4 facilities. We thank you in advance for your observance of this safety practice.
